Any F70 users?

Tim - I will most certainly do that. Yes, this hobby is full of many people who
are willing to help. Thank God, there are some good people left in the world.

I'm anxious to try the Fisher product. For a long time I always heard good things
about their machines. For some reason I always passed on it. I do like the
looks of the machine - the big numerical read out and the fact that it's also
going to be light weight.

Hi larry. Also another helpful tip when starting out as Elton stated in another thread is reading the owners manual over and over. I myself bring it with me on all my hunts just as a reference. And trust me it helps out all the time. I've only had my F70 over a year now. And truth be told I'm still learning the machine. When first starting out use the factory settings for awhile until your ready to start experimenting. Good luck Larry. HH. Tim

Larry first of all don't listen to that Mud. I am not 106 I do miss 106 by a few years anyway. Mud likes to try things out with the F70 and has some good tips. You asked what settings I run with? Sens@65-70, Disc@20, Thresh@-3, Tones@3H and I almost always run with the 6.5" coil. With these settings you can have a very nice hunt in trashy areas and still dig targets to 4" plus. Sometimes I only have 10 junk targets in my pouch. I have narrowed it down to digging (almost) coin targets. As Mud calls it clad stabbing. I just pop those guys out of the ground with a screw driver and up and moving to the next target in a matter of seconds. I have 1100 coins this summer and I have missed a lot of good hunting days. .....Z
