Any hardware or software changes since 2008

I think the 705 was introduced around 2008. In the past 8 years, have any software or hardware updates been done to the control box? I know about the efforts to defeat Nel coils and I don't consider that an update. So, if I bought a 705 when they first came out and compared it to the internals of one made in 2016, would there be no difference?
 
Other than the 2012 firmware change concerning unauthorized third party coils there have been NO changes.
