any idea on this miniture thimble?

I'm starting to like hunting the sidewalk strips, even though a lot of gawkers. Today my hunch paid off a little, in front of a older looking bungalow was a 1943 silver dime. There were a few odd finds also such as a little cap gun, a rusted button with Lincoln on it, and a whatzit small thimble like object. It looks like a thimble but is not a thimble? Thanks for looking. hh oj

Those small thimbles were collectors items, kinda like the miniature spoons...they usually will have a porcelain plaquard of some place people visit, like Las Vegas, Or NYC...
They also make porcelain thinbles like that too

HH,

made for small fingers.
Not only did they come in a variety of sizes for different tasks and different sized hands/fingers.
They were also made for young girls.
There was a time when girls were taught to sew at a very young age.
Sewing was just an important task for survival as was gardening or cooking and girls learned at young ages.
Yours looks real oj, not a toy or collectable.
Today, if it rips or gets dirty or is out of style, it's thrown away and a new one bot.

Here's one to compare with

The cap pistol was made in Jacksonville, Texas. About 50 miles north of where I live. I remember I would get very excited when we went there when I was a kid. Many, many, many years ago.

I found a tiny little thimble a month or so ago and was puzzled by it until someone identified it as a playing piece from one ot the original Monopoly games. I remembered some of the tokens from when I was a kid, but had forgottent that there was a thimble in the mix.
