Looking to find out what this is and maybe an age?

It's a cuff link for a mans shirt, Georgian at a guess,

The other option could be a 19th century button from a heavy coat?

I am pretty sure they are cuff links. I have found them made of gold and gold plated, sometimes initials were engraved on the face. Mine seem to be from the mid to late 1800's.

I found this in an area where the homes were turn of the century, I just have not been able to find one that looks like it.
