Found this the other day is it a belt keep? I found a nice U.S box plate in my front yard this summer and I found this not to far away about 9 inches down.
 
The December issue of western eastern treasure has one on page 45 and it says keeper but I've never heard of it
 
Yep, A belt keeper. Does it have a number on it anywhere? If it does that is the match ### that would match up with the plate itself.
