I'm about to purchase a new detector, and was wondering if there's anything new coming along, PI or VLF. It's been 20 years since I bought my last detector, so I can wait a little longer if need be. <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
P.S. I'm considering a GQ SS or X5 right now.
 
My suggestion is to understand what you want from a detector.
And understand each detectors abilitys in more depth.
Those two choices are very distant from each other
 
Russ... I know the differences between the two detectors. What I would really like is a waterproof PI with real discrimination. <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> According to what I've read on this forum, that may not be far away. How far, is the question.
