Any of you folks use the new White's Spectra V ? I was just wondering if it was worth the $1500. Sounds kinda pricey:blink:

.... love the full 4 color screen .... love the analyze trigger forward screen which gives an oscilloscope type reading of the three frequencies .... shows which frequency gets the best reading, can help determine a trash vs good target by strongest frequency and shape / type of oscilloscope reading.

If you hunt a lot in woods or around tangling briers, the wireless headphones are an advantage. One person can use the wireless headphones while the detector swinger used wired headphones .... easily allows another person to "be involved" in the search.

Was impressed with the V3's ability to cancel out small iron to reveal some other small non iron targets in highly mineralized soil. Handles wet salt sand well. Lots more preset programs .... can easily make changes to preset programs without losing them yet can easily restore changed preset programs. Look at he V3 as an XLT or DFX on steroids.

The V3 has many many more benefits if you are a techno-geek .... if you have trouble recording a DVD or VHS or texting on your cell phone, the V3 is not for you.

Hope my opinion helps .... go to your local dealer and test drive / kick the tires.
