Any one ever used a garrett Ads ground hog

found lots of stuff with 1 back in the day

Pretty good detector. Through the years the circuit board morphed into the present day Scorpion. Good circuit design that really didn't change.
Talk about repackaging......... The circuit was also copied by DTex, Gold Mountain.......... Google treasurelinx for all the old catalogs.....

The groundhog was one of my favorites and I found a ton with it. Loved that detector.

I used a groundhog back in the early 80's to relic hunt. It belonged to a friend. It did ok, if I remember correctly. Found a complete Parrot shell with it.

Learned to hunt with a groundhog in the late seventies. Used to use the reverse discrimination and would pull some deep targets

They were great detectors for the day. I worked at Garrett Electronics when they manufactured them (Yes, I’m old)…I remember testing them out as an employee there. Doesn’t have the depth or stability of current detectors though, but they worked well for what they were..
