Any word on a new T2 coming out?

Not only isn't there any word, but the folks at FT haven't even on here in the last 30 days. That's kinda odd. They usually pop up now and again to give advice or down play rumors. There is a thread on the Fisher F Series detector forum on here asking about when the F80 will be coming out. However, it turned into people saying what they'd love to see come out after no one was able to offer insight as to when a new model will be coming out. Based on my limited experience with FT rollouts, only the EuroTek series, nobody will know anything until the pre order comes out on the dealer websites.

"Don't hold your breath"!-------We've been waiting for seemingly "forever" for FT to roll out a new flagship detector.-----I'm sure when they finally do, it will be done up right---but---it would sure be nice to get one in my hands before I'm too old to use it!;)

Though maybe no direct posts Mike and First Texas have been active behind the scenes.. Several authorized contest ran within the last 30 days on Fisher and Teknetics forums that were proposed by Mike Scott ..and authorized by First Texas..

First Texas and their representatives are always active in one way or another on this forum ....

Ahh, I didn't know that. I did a search for their screen names. I'm hoping this is a sign that something's a coming soon.

I saw a post from Jorge Saad a week or so ago...he's one of the key Fisher & Teknetics dudes behind the F5, Delta, Omega, EuroTek, etc.

I asked the crystal ball on their face-book page a week or so ago...said I've got a $1000.00 to spend on a T2 LTD I wanted... or should I wait for something new.....the crystal ball said spend your money lad....we're working on some exciting new things for 2015!
Take it for what it's worth.....

I like my T2SE also. I was looking to trade up to the F75 but after talking to the local dealer, both detectors are basically the same depthwise. The F75 just has a few more bells on it. Think I'll keep the T2.

...they ALWAYS have something new coming out! They don't tend to rest on their behinds very long there at Teknetics. You just have to pick a spot on jump on! Kinda like computer technology...always improving for the dollar.

After all these years, Mark, you're still in NC? Anything you want, the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Except for Calif, it's so dry this "rainy season" that most places don't even have weeds. I cut my wage-earning teeth on Calif water science nearly 50 years ago working directly under the California State Hydrologist-Climatologist in Sacramento, so this is stuff I actually know about. Over the long haul, the geophysics background prepared me well for a later career in metal detection.

Here's the boilerplate. "Engineering dept. always has new products under development."

I sometimes joke that I have to read the forums at 6 AM to find out what I'm supposed to be working on that day.

There are a thousand things we could be doing in engineering dept., and there about three things we actually have the resources to do. So we have to concentrate on those things. Some projects are quickies, and some projects require huge amounts of investment before seeing the light of day if they ever see it at all.

My standard T2 does everything i want and more, wont be parting with that for a good few years yet, just because a new detector comes out it wont find you anymore its that 10'' of space between the headphones that makes all the differance.I have put well in excess of 4 figures time wise under my belt with the T2 and still learning what its telling me,as a result of this my finds are also getting better.
