Anybody check a Deus on a plane?

Reeseb

I was wondering if anyone has checked in a Deus on a plane flight. It might not be an option since you can't turn off the coil.

It's a non issue. Flew L.A. to Virginia a number of times. The detector was in my carry on bag. Make sure you bring the manual with you just in case you have to deal with a hard nose. Flying to Europoe this year and definitely taking my Deus. It's sure a grat travelling detector.

If the blinking light worries you..possibly can cover it with black tape for the flight?

Regards, Joe (California)

I've also taken it on several flights in my carry on (well, the coil, headphones, and controller -- the rest packed in checked luggage). No issues. The first 2 flights I mentioned to the xray tech that there was metal detecting equipment. They both said thanks. No issues. 3rd time I didn't say a word, and still got through without even a moment's hesitation. So I think it's a total of 8 flights for me with it, and have not had an issue yet.
Thx
Rich

That's good news. Thanks, guys.

Good info for sure!

Because of theft and breakage considerations not to mention baggage checking fees, I have sent my detector on ahead by UPS.
