Anybody dug a cannonball w a F75?

I relic hunt only and normally don't dig iron. I was wondering if anybody could tell me what the VDI numbers were on a cannonball. I've dug iron before that had some higher numbers and was just curious.

I have and some shells. The VDI was jumping all over the place from the low upper 20s-30s up to the 50s. The sound was different & they were all deep so I dug them. CCH

Cajun was it giving a ferrous grunt or high tone or do you hunt all metal? I hunt all metal 95% of the time.
