There seems to be an issue with the switch box and the GPX rod.
I was trying to mount the switch box on my Carbon Fiber rod by snapping it on. Right away it was apparent that there would be no snapping because the rod wasn't giving and there is no give in the 'C' snap of the switch box.
I then decided to use my Mitutoyo calipers on the parts. The 'C' of the switch box has an internal diameter of .75" while the opening to the center is .68". Both the standard GPX shaft and the Carbon Fiber shaft has an external diameter of .88".
The stiffness of the 'C' on the switch box will not allow the piece to be snapped on and I'm afraid that if I force the issue it will break. So, I cannot mount the probe until I find a solution.
Any suggestions?
