ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT A B-H--SHARPSHOOTER II ??

My son had one. It is a basic unit that is good for beginners.

No, as I always had White's brand of detector! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

A lot of guys over on the BH forum sing their praises. I did not care for my BH (landstar) it was hard for me to use, not very straight forward in terms of its control panel and GB features.

I recomend finding one in one of your local sporting goods stores take it out of the box and go over the controls for your self. We have a Cabellas that has one on display to examine. I think a guy needs to get them under power to learn much though, navigating through the screens and such. The link through Findmall seems to be broken, but I also think you should read thru the manual.

Hey Semp, As Mike said, it's a basic unit. If that's the unit you're looking at, you be far better off to go with the BH Discovery 3300. The BH D3300 is a great little unit and does far better than the BH Sharpshooter. It's a few bucks more but well worth the difference in price. Extra coils, from BH, are available for the D3300 making it a good all around unit. Another detector to consider, for the price, would be the Fisher F2. It's also a beginning unit but does well in the fiels. You can see both on my webpabe @ http://www.rivercitytreasureclub.com/ Click on the home page and click on the BH icon on the right side. The Fisher icon is there as well. You could either purchase from your local dealer or from the sponsors of this forum.

I had one for about 4 years. It does well for the price. IT has notch auto notch and three tones. It also has an all metal mode. I always hunted in discrimination mode with disc turned all the way down . I like the three tones it had . But my x-terra is several inches deeper than it was.
