BOUGHT AN AT PRO LAST MONTH AM LIKING IT MORE EVERY TIME I TAKE IT OUT.FOUND 7 QUARTERS UNDER BLEACHERS AT AN OLD RODEO ARENA ONE OF THEM AT ABOUT 4 INCHES HAD A PULL TAB ON TOP OF IT.HAD BEEN LOOKING AT THE 1350 BEFORE I BOUGHT THE AT JUST WONDERING HOW IT COMPARES TO THE AT PRO.STILL THINKING ABOUT GETTING A 1350 ALSO.THANKS FOR ANY HELP

I have the 1350 and have used the 1000 and 1250, too, down the years.
Im now wrangling to get an AT-PRO. Gimme a few months and I'll let you know bow they compare

I can tell you this much - the AT-Pro does not offer any sizing abilities. The 1350 has Profiling, which is a time based (sweep speed) "snapshot" of the targets general size.
Within the "magic 6 inches" of depth it is pretty accurate on coin sized targets, as long as there is not a lot of trash to interfere with the processing.

The 1350's audio is the standard 3-Tone arrangement:

Iron - low
Mid range - midtone
Coins - Belltone.

I believe the AT-Pro offers that already.

The coil on the 1350 is interchangeable with any other Garrett 7 khz coil, too. The entire range of Crossfire II (and probably others) will work on it, and they can often be fond for little money. The AT -Pro requires proprietary coils made especially for it - translated as new and $$$.
The 1350 is also rugged to a fault, whereas the AT-Pro is New Garrett... kinda "plasticy" feeling. The ergonomics are said to be a thousand times better, as the AT -Pro seems to have been built to fit an Indonesian circus midget. The headphone jack on the GTP is also where it should be - beneath the arm. The AT-Pro has the danged thing in the off side of the control housing.

The balance of the GTP is probably better, even with heavier weight. The AT-Pro has it's large coil set well forward of the center of gravity.

In all I think the AT-Pro has a lot of new features, enhanced audio responses and it is waterproof. Its glamorous and glitzy.
The 1350 is tough, capable and useful.

It's the difference between Paris Hilton and a Russian housewife.
