Found this bath token while hunting an old schoolhouse that has since been razed.
Pic shows one side. The other side shows a company name in St Louis. I assume its the Co where the token was manufactured.
I can't make out all of the name, but what I can see reads, '---NB, Co, ST LOUIS.

Any ideas???

I haven't seen one of those before, but I know I would be very happy to find one. A super old find in my books:thumbup:

That's a great find. I really enjoy tokens. They are unique pieces of Americana that hearken to a very specific time and place in American history. I really need to get a display case, one of those glass topped cardboard ones with the white spongy stuff inside. Anyone know where to get those really inexpensively?

the link for the token catalog was actually just posted to it by Richard the sites owner, after I emailed him Buster's info on the token asking if he had any info, up until that time one has not been recorded. Richard managed to come up with some info on the guy. For most of us to find something is great but then discovering the history behind it, is another type of hunt altogether and it's really cool when it all comes together. So way to go Buster, what a great find, and to get it in the catalog as a new found token is a cool thing!

Pretty cool. Never seen a bath token. Shaves, cigars, drinks, even bread - but never a bath.
Neat
