Anybody tried sealing the heel caps on the early version F75 coils

I bought a used one and knew that the early versions of the coil were known to leak water into them, so in the revised addition they added external sealant to the seams. So I got up the nerve to seal this one, it came out really nice. I used the slow set 90 minute epoxy and a wooden match stick with the end round off for the applicator, its sealed now!

I applied a second and final coat to slightly broaden the bead to better match the factory look.
These pictures are micro close ups so you see every detail.

I'm thinking that as poor of fit (seal wise) as the coil cover is for these coils that I may also use that 90 minute epoxy and a couple of throw away tiny brushes and coat the bottom of the coil, this stuff lays out great you just have to be careful to not apply so much that it sags or runs off and it takes 24 hours to fully cure.
