Anybody use both a shadow x5 and a G2?

I was wondering if it is right to think of the G2 as a successor to the shadow x5, both designed by Dave J., both operate at 19Khz. Is the G2 a digital version of the x5 (with engineering enhancements) and a meter? anybody hunted with both of these machine can compare them?

I have never used the combo, but Dave J has designed many detectors over the years for different companies, so anything is possible.

Both very good machines, but completely different platforms with different features and different operating characteristics. I would not describe the GB/G2 as a "successor to the X5" other than in the obvious historical sense that the GB/G2 is more recent.
