Anybody use Wireless earbuds?

I just received my Deteknix W6 Pro wireless headphones today. I didn't get to try them out hunting but I tested them out inside. They are pretty comfortable and the sound is good on them. The directions tell you to open up the charging plug when it is not wet to get a better sound. It does make a difference but I would rather keep dirt out of them than to get a little better sound. It also comes with a cord that can be plugged into a radio, mp3, etc. It can also be plugged into your detector if the headset or transmitters battery goes dead. If you do use the cord, you don't have volume control unless your detector has one built in but they were plenty loud enough to hear. The cord is not coiled and can be pulled out of the headphones if you aren't careful. I really likedcthe W6 lites and I am sure I will really like these. I hope this can help someone out looking to buy a set of wireless headphones.

I received my Sennheisers today. Haven't tried them out on my detector yet but they are very comfortable. Could possibly be hot on the ears. I'll try them on my detector Friday.

Hey pvtcook,

Unfortunately, with any full coverage headphone, heat can be an issue in summer, an asset in cooler weather.

Check out the replacement ear pads by Pixnor. The material is cloth (called velvet) those should be much cooler in summer. They're only $9.39. I'll be getting some for mine. In doing my research, that was one of the things I liked about these phones, the wide availability of replacement ear pads. In fact, when you read your manual, you will see that they are intended to be replaced occasionally for hygiene purposes. Since the pads are available from aftermarket sources we can get them much cheaper than from the earphone manufacturer.

Since the ear pads are cheap and readily available, I intend on experimenting with them.

Attaching cotton material as is used on athletic sweatbands for wrists, and foreheads, basically towel material. That should help with hot weather comfort.

Well after about 15 min with them. I can say that I can detect absolutely no lag. They are very comfortable. The tones are different than my gray ghost but I think I can adapt to them in order to be wireless.

Curious what you think of them after trying them out?

I wish I could figure out how to post pics from my iPad. It says invalid file when I try. I would like to show you my set up for the transmitter. I found a small camera case at Wal Mart that works great. Send me your email or cell and I can text or email you pics.

Hey pvtcook,

Looks like you have a favorable view of the Sennheisers also.

As far as any perceived difference in tones, it shouldn't make any difference whether in 1 or 4 tone. You also have the Audio Pitch control on the F75, which you can use to adjust the pitch to suit your hearing.

Looks like a workable mounting setup.
