Anybody using the Detech 13" Ultimate Coil on the Tejon or Vaquero

I just had a look at their website, I didn't know about this coil, they make them for the uMax series too! It would be interesting to hear from those who have used it on uMax detector as well.

So, what after market coils are available for the Vaquero? I have a coin I want to find1300 miles away, and when I go after it....it is coming back to Ohio..This is a one shot deal for 2013....I saw the 12 by 10's Kellyco has at $179.oo...Even may ask to rent a coil from someone to use in my 60' by 250' test bed. I'm going over that yard six ways to China, with rows marked out, object depths measured and recorded...Then the Vista RG 750, and mark any signals that should be deeper. After that,, MAYBE another coil to see what could be in the Vista range.Tesoro has larger coils, and there seems to be a lot of experience that can be tapped..For you Tesoro fans are there any "air tests" with the 12 by 10 inch coil.My coin is a fifty dollar gold slug, which is a fair target designed to blow eardrums out the opposite side of the head.

The 10 x 12 gets me 2 inches more than the stock coil on most targets. Should do a little better in the ground due to it being a double D.

The 10 by 12 you mention is the one from Tesoro, or Europe? When improved depth on most targets is mentioned, does this leave Indians, dimes, and other small coins behind? I assume large coil goes further on larger items. What about working where there is some trash? Does this have any effect on pinpointing..While I like the idea of having better depth to hit a large coin target, the coil will be used in old yards where there will be junk....So, I am still of the opinion that the stock coil included with each detector, is the best all round coil for general searching,,,which is what most of us do... So, can you provide us with an air test, conditions, settings on a 9 by 8 stock coil and a 10 by 12? Coins.... Indian cent, and dollar silver, Ike,Spanish does not matter.. What I am interested in is the detection vs size....
