Anyone been/felt threatened while detecting?

Not surprised at all because Satan & his evil servants (The Socialist DEMS & Communists & ETC) tell us what they are doing, intend to do & are doing, if we would just listen to them & not be spiritually blinded & deafened by satan & his demonic spirits --By listening to God's Holy Spirit, His truth reveals to His people all of satan & his demon servants LIES & their intentions of destroying our Constituion & the USA! I was hunting alone on the beach on a rather dark night. It was a rather isolated stretch of beach. I was hunting up close to the dunes and this area has some aggressive wildlife. I was walking along and kept getting a feeling that something wasn't right and that something was following me. I kept looking all around and behind me but there wasn't anything. I started getting the feeling that something was going to come over the dunes and jump me. I patted my little buddy in my pocket and he reassured me that he has got this. About that time I heard something hitting the sand behind me. I looked back and saw movement. I picked up my pace and looked back it was following me a little faster. I started a slow run and it was still pacing me. I started to run looked back and it was making leaps and bounds towards me. I decided that me and my little buddy were going to make a stand. I stopped turned around and about that time my handheld scoop that I was dragging behind me landed at my feet. I was skeered but I laughed so hard I'm sure they could have heard me for miles down the beach.

To everybody reading this thread.....Ronstar made a very valid point which is situational awareness.We were taught this by our martial arts instructor and it has stayed with me to this day.When you are detecting you must always be aware what is happening around you and this even applies to your everyday lives in such situations as just walking down the street.I have often detected beaches at night and on more than one occasion have made a detour around people that have looked a bit suspicious.......maybe innocent but you can't take that chance.Just remember it doesn't matter how well you can handle yourself,there are some right idiots out there and it's always best to have been aware of things in time to allow you to get to safety before anything happens.Stay safe everybody.

Well, in my case, I have not had problems with bad people, but once I was detecting in a mountain next to my two presa dogs (Presa Canario) and at one point the dogs began to look behind me and growl, like if something bad were to happen. Without looking back, I began to walk towards my dogs faster and faster and when I had already moved a few meters from the place, a rotten tree broke and fell right where I had been a few seconds ago.
The dogs were warning me that the tree was cracking and was going to break. It was a huge pine tree, over 15 meters. I couldn't hear anything with my headphones and they told me. I thank my dogs for being alive today.
