Hello if anyone has ever found a gold coin with the safari can you tell me what number it was thanks

Have read where a U.S. $5.00 gold piece (7 grams) once air tested at (30). Believe this is pretty accurate as by all accounts a British gold sovereign (7.32 grams) will read (31) on a Safari.

Yes, I found a Napoleon III, 20 Franc piece, 1867 date. Almost exactly the same size as a US nickel. I posted it here, but that was some months ago. I got a consistent 22 reading.

A $1.00 U.S. gold coin will hit in the nickle range between 13 to 15.
