Anyone ever used the EXcelerator Coil with you minelab?

Is the 5 inch EXcelerator coil all hype?

Hi Duke,
You can't go wrong with this coil. I bought the 5" EXcelerator coil when it came on the market. The first time I used it with my Explorer I dug an 1816 Large Cent about 9" deep in a trashy/iron infested area of a city park! When I look at all my silver through the years all of my Standing Liberty Quarters(my favorite coin and IMHO the best looking coin ever minted!) that I dug were found with this coil. Happy hunting- Brian

No, not hype! Good 5" coil! I've had mine close to a year and a half and have never given any thought at all about replacing it. I have the 5" and 14". I use the 5 alot!

I have the 12.5 inch and have used it with the Quattro and the Explorer II. I've not used it on my SE yet as I wanted to master the machine with the factory 10" coil before putting aftermarket stuff on there. But the Excel coils are good coils. They also have a 4.5 x 7 coil that's supposed to be the BOMB. I have one on the way...supposedly...they're on backorder.

I have had my 5" excelerator coil over a year now, and it has been used on a regular basis in trashy areas. The performance is outstanding!:super: I also have a 18" excelerator which I will use when I relic hunt. Happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage.

I first bought the 5 and used it a few times and was happy with it. Then I bought the 4x7 which I now use more then the 5 - to the point I may just sell the 5 as I find the 4x7 is great in trash and pokes around the weeds and trees very well.
