El you have to have a detector that you trust and feel good about. Good luck my friend.
I had the feeling that the detectors I was using weren't getting to the deeper coins on the beach. I could swing that ultra light super fast detector for 6 hours but only getting surface coins. Got very disgusted and really thinking maybe give up detecting again. I did find 2710 coins last year but just about all of them were surface coins. It is nice to go along the beach and dig 50 or so one sand scoop coins but there is no adventure in doing that in the long run. I felt that I was missing something and that was the joy in the hunt of finding. I probably could have found maybe 25 to 50 of those coins just by eye balling them with out a detector.
With the Safari my legs and arms are already getting sore from the digging. I am thinking of getting the 6" coil and really tackling some of those sections on the beach that are so trashy. I know there is some good stuff in those sections but never had a detector that would punch through like the Safari. I never see anyone but the new kids, the ones with the shower shoes on, no headphones, and the soda in their hand while detecting in those parts of the beach. They usually don't stay too long before they move to a different part of the beach.
Thanks for reading and HH with your Safari/Quattro...... Z
