Anyone have this problem before??

I just picked up a new Explorer II. I used it a couple of hours and went to adjust the rod length. I pressed the latch on the upper rod and now it doesn't latch without pulling the lower rod completely out of the upper rod, flipping the latch back and forth a couple of times, then reinserting the lower rod. The lower rod doesn't slip in and out smoothly. It's almost like the lower rod is too large for the latch to catch properly. I suppose the latch is defective or the lower rod is too big. I guess a call to Minelab is in order.

Check the little brass pin in the camlock. It may have slipped out. I believe there were a few minor problems with the camlock when the EX II first came onto the market. Give Dick Shultz a call at Minelab and he will help you out with the malfunction. Probably something simple!
