Hi mate, you,d be better off on a British forum regarding your request, try uk and european detecting.......this forums mainly browsed by our american cousins...

if they did they would keep it to themselves ,but you could try asking farmers for permission ,or try beaches that are local.
parks might be doable

join a club to get you going ,theyre listed in the treasure hunting mags .
