Anyone here set up a coin garden for detector testing? I'm probably going to set up one tomorrow to test my Omega.

The ground around here is nicely saturated but it's too cold to be out there too long.

What kind of depth are you getting with the Omega? If I can get a clean signal on a US Quarter and Nickel at 8" in my mild ground I'll be sort of happy.

I've got reasonably mild ground here in W Tn, one to two bars and g b in the mid 60's usually, and in the field I am getting dimes and cents 6-7" when ever I put my coil across any at that depth. I've not dug any coin size target deeper with the Omega, but feel it would hit a quarter at 8." I am thinking in my ground, that is about the limit, though, and that is with some careful listening.
