Found it detecting an abandoned property couple of days ago. Any help is appreciated.
 
It looks like some kind of 13 star Navy button. Is there any writting on the back?

That button prob is a civil war marines corp button check out this site got a lot of info on it and prices. Civilwarbutton.com

The back is badly corroded and haven't been able to get it off to see if there is writing on the back.
