Not a real productive day. I did manage to pull out this FOB. I would guess its from the 30's or 40's. anyone with some info on it?

watch fob; Great Seal of the United States of America, as it appears on the reverse of the One Dollar bill.

on the reverse of your fob is possibly some tiny lettering, indicating the manufacturer's name (often abbreviated)

Great Seal

Its some sort of military metal. The back only says genuine bronze.

Does appear to have had a ribbon on it. Ive seen and gotten several medals during my military hitch, the ribbons are normally hung thru a round ring.

Dew

I think Dew's right - I've had a couple like that hung on my pocket. Looks like the meritorious civilian medal - but I think that came later. From your picture, it looks older because of the jagged edges, but it's still in great shape.... strange one... I'd post it on whatzit because you might have something special there.

I would do a search in Ebay under Collectibles and try Watch Fobs once. It should bring up all Fobs and then you could see what the one like yours sells for. Nice find and worthy of posting. Heck! They can be worth a lot more than a few Silver Dimes are. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH to you.:detecting:

There's one on there just like it :) You didn't list it did you?

search for this: Vint Eagle American Patriotic Seal of America Watch FOB

No i saw that one. his is brighter. and he didn't give much info on it. he says it was from WW1 but I am not so sure I am thinking WW11, but I will keep checking.
