Hey Mark the 1000 is a fine machine and depth is right up there.


The only thing I see with a gold over the 1000 is when working very agressively to unmask in iron laden sites then the gold has an advantage ...even over the smart...

the Gold is the best at unmasking on a different level than the other's in dense iron.

the Gold is is on the GMP level in iron...

for depth the 1000 is very good and with the DD coil with proper ground bal....its deep like the Deeptechs are known for..

I ditched mine because of a bad coil. Love the smart for my colonial sites.

that's funny I never had a prob with it I also have a spare coil for those who ever need one
