Anyone tried the collapsible shaft on their detectors?

I can't remember who makes them but somebody makes a copy of the Deus collapsible shaft I thought I might try one on my F75.

Yes it's the Mars telescopic shaft, I put my AT pro on one. It's much better than the factory S rod in many ways. I had to permanently modify the pro to fit on this shaft. I'm not sure what order detectors need modification if any so read up on it first. Also there is the golden mask telescopic shaft.

Some collapsible shafts are brilliant like the Mars one and the ones i personally use are the Golden Mask ones, the main reason for me using the GM option is that Mars had not bought out there shaft till slightly later.

Some machines are alot easier too change over than other,if you have say just a single control box that contains the battery in the same housing say like the Tesoro detectors then that could not be any easier, when the job gets a little bit more complex but its not surmountable if you give it some thought is if the detector that you plan on grafting onto say the Mars shaft has a separate control box and battery box like the T2/F75 and many other machines that use this setup then i guess it could get slightly more different and then also some machines could have a pinpoint switch in a different location on the shaft, although most have these switches under the control box.

I use a few of my GM shafts on the easier non complicated machines, the Deus is a good choice especially if you run it like the 'lite' version,Tesoro machines are also very good and in the case of using it with just a Deus coil and headphones like the Deus lite then these after market shafts are so much cheaper and build quality is possibly on par with the XP ones.

Yeah I was wondering how it would work w a separate battery compartment. Probably won't. It doesn't list the F75 as a compatible detector.
