anyone try the new platinum, are they out

saw the platinum model in a cabellas magazine, any info out on this

it has the t-2 style handle with the screen mountet ontop, sounds like mabey 3300 or f-4 related, definatly a departure from standard bh packages

I called cabellas and the lady told me: "Yes, we are going to have a new style Bounty Hunter Platinum detector soon in stock."
Retail is $ 549.00 .

I haven't seen it yet, so i have to wait what it looks like and what features it has. Can you scan the cabellas add and post it ? Wonder what features it has.

i dont have the cabellas, guide journal, i had seen it at work, looks nice, i believe it had 3 search modes, 4 tone, no motion all metal, thats all i know

looks like a T2. wonder if these will just be made for Cabella's or if bounty hunter will release these in their main line. any word on what these will cost? i was thinking of getting a F4, but i think i'll wait on that for now that we have a glimpse of these new models. thanks again for sharing.

I too was thinking of the F4, i had a couple 3300's they were OK, sounds like the f4 took care of all my dislikes on the 3300, so is the platinum a repackaged f4, or further improvements, price range is in the time ranger category, a replacement possibly? looking for a unit for my son and wife, thought about the f4 or xt50, but this has peeked my curiosity

thompy, the platinum sure don't look like the F4. i bet its a whole different animal, based on what the control boxes look like. I really like the look of the Platinum and since i like the performance out of my landstar, with manual ground balance, no motion all metal mode..... I think I'll keep selling a few detectors so when its released, I will be ready. Although I was really leaning on getting a F4..... Oh well. It seems like bounty hunter and fisher are putting out some nice looking and performing models. any more news, please let me know. thanks

yeah, definitely waiting for some more in depth info on the platinum, I do like the looks, don't imagine its to hard to wrap electronics into a different package, hoping its totally new, or updated off the f4 with the faster audio response and other improvements, wonder when they will be released? also hope it comes with the dd coil
