Anyone use Gray Ghost Deep Woods Headphones

I recently purchased a pair of Detector Pro Gray Ghost Deep Woods Headphones for my Minelab X-Terra 705 and I am disappointed with the sound. I wonder if it is me or the headphones and I don't want to jump to conclusions before I know the facts. They just sound flat and boring compared to my 2 pairs of Garrett headphones and a pair of Accusound headphones from Kellyco. I purchased these as a replacement for a pair of normal Gray Ghosts that lost. I have put the limiting switch in both positions and haven't really noticed any difference in the quality of the sound and tone. I wonder if there may be a comparability problem with the Minelab X-Terra 705 detector? I really like the quality of the headphones and they are First Class. Any ideas why the poor sound?
Thanks ~ Greg

I have several pair of Gray Ghosts, but not the Deep Woods model. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't recall there being a volume control on the Deep Woods. Here is a link to a post that someone else made, with a diagram of what each switch does. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?11,1802650
If that don't help you out, I'd give Gary a call at DetectorPro. HH Randy

Randy! Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. You are absolutely correct I need to give Gary a call. I was just trying to save myself some trouble as I live in Germany and if I do have to send them back it's along way! BTW your X-Terra guide is very helpfull.
Thanks again,
Greg

I just bought a set of the deep woods. I haven't tried them yet, but there suppose to be the same as the reg GG's . Mine do not have a volume control on them either. I did hook them up on arrival and adjusted the volume a little on the machine , xt 505 and they worked find. But the real test will be today, detecting.
