ANYONE USED THE 10X5" TESORO COIL:confused:

anyone used the 10x5" coil on the tejon,how good is it?is this a concentric or d.d. coil?

I have not used one yet but a recent post using one on the Tejon is at:

Coil is a DD and comes standard on the Lobo ST.

CJM,i think Tesoro put a little extra into this unique coil.For the design of the lobo .The tejon operates at the same frequency as the lobo,so that is a perfect match.For the lobo it was designed to be sensitive to small targets,work it rough rocky conditions etc.The shape and size makes it really nice to use in wooded areas.It has smooth points at both ends and you can really get around trees and down in ruts in the terrain.The tejon is a much heavier detector than say a vaquero so a 12 x 10 DD can get heavy and odd with the tejon.The elliptical 10x5 is a DD coil.Because of this and if having a tight and very small foot print,i can really crank the sensitivity way into the red.The deepest coil of all coils made,Tesoro and sef coils,the deepest coil is the stock 9x8 and would be the best choice for good ground and deep hunting.Mine got missing so i decided to get the elliptical and the 12x10DD.The only thing is the stock spider open type coil can get sticks hung in it.This is were i like the solid elliptical.I will keep posting if i have anymore thoughts about the coil. :O
