Anyone using the Excellarator 4x7 coil with much luck??

I don't have the 4X7 but I do have the 5", it's a great little coil, it goes really DEEP, it's great to pinpoint because of its small size, it's lightweight (just like pointing a stick), and it's waterproof. I've dug dimes @ 12" with a loud, clear, repeatable signal, it's worth every cent. It's a Double DD too.

It's the Detecht EXcellerator 5" coil, from Kellyco, a great little coil.

I also have the 5" Excellarator from Kellyco. It is very easy to pinpoint with and gets good depth. The only problems I have had with it was: 1) I do get some falsing when the grass is wet if I try to run the sensitivity in manual and above 24. Lowering of the sensitivity usually corrects this problem. 2) The depth meter does not read right using this coil. It seems like the meter reads twice the depth, in other words, if the meter reads 6", then the object is actually around 3". These two minor (to me) problems are very easy to live with, because like one of the other posts said, it weighs very little and I can swing it a long time. Since I usually hunt parks where there is a lot of trash, or around old, mostly abandoned houses where there is a lot of junk, this is my coil of choice. Assuming the 4"x7" works as well as this one, my assumption being bases on the fact that it is the same manufacturer, I'd say get it.

Larry don't worry about those 2 problems because it's the same with every other coil that isn't the standard coil that came with the detector, they'll always read different regarding depth if the coil is bigger or smaller than the standard coil. About the falsing, try running in Semi-Auto, that usually helps if the falsing is bad, although I've never experienced any falsing in wet grass, if you have a coil cover pop it off and clean it, it could be dirt trapped inside.
