Anyone using the Teknetics probe?

I got one a few weeks ago and like using it. I've never used other brands and am curious as to how it compares. I did notice the cap pops off pretty easy but, a little electricians tape does the trick.

Mine worked well for the low price, no problems. To fix the cap thing just pull the foam out of the cap and it will fit fine.

If it is similar to the Fisher F-Point I solved it by placing the 9V in the cap (on top of the foam) so that the widest portion of the battery is snug between the two flanges. When pushed into the handle it holds on like grim death. I had to pry the cap off and ended up using brass shims to let the flanges slide out of the recesses.

Came free with my F-75 and was a great deal at that price. ;) I actually use it as my primary probe now that I've got familiar with it. Handy to carry and fits snug in the side pocket on my belt finds pouch.

I have one and i'm not that impressed. I had to secure the cap with some tape, when you turn it on it buzz until you twist the volume half round and unless you touch the target, it doesn't help much. Just my 2 cents
