I talked to Andy today on the phone and apologized for the things i said on the forum hes a great guy and a great attribute toward our hobby i also apologize to you the members of the bbs forum it was wrong and it wont happen again i enjoy all the topics discussed and like to help other people and to learn a thing or to myself Leonard.

I appreciated the call and as others have said, a phone call BEFORE would have avoided a lot of tension.
There is a lot of testing going on with new equipment - some which makes it to market and some that does not - and the manufacturers need to keep this private. Many of the pieces of equipment I test require me to sign a legal agreement stating I will not divulge what I see to anyopne and I stick to those agreements. When the companies are close to final production, they often ask me to get other input which is when I can show select people (that can keep a secret) what the equipment is. Those of you who I have worked with in the past in the phase know what I mean.
So, the phone call went well and fences have been mended . . . I appreciate the support from others that did not question my intergrity both via forum posts and private E-mails.

I'm not sure if it is my imagination or is there just alot of hot heads in this hobby? Just seems to me that there are some people with chips on their shoulders. Some threads get pretty infantile.
I've only heard good things about Andy and most others that post here, suspect that any slights are perceived and not actual.
Maybe I'll try hanging out on some quilting or needlepoint forums.... Perhaps there a few in any hobby.

I think we are in that transition period. Guys have been locked in all winter long, waiting to bust out and do some detecting.
The weather isn't cooperating for some, and emotions run high.
Then some people are getting a break in the weather and getting out and posting some good finds, while others are looking out at rain, or in some places frozen ground.
If you notice, you never get much negativity from us guys out west, the California coast, or Florida. We are warm all the time.
