AQUA PULSE 8 INCH COIL mounted on a Goldquest ssv2?

New member
Hello to all.I'm new here...
I would like to know if is it possible to use that coil with the Eric Foster's Goldquest ssv2.
Thank you very much.

Hello pardeg,

The main problem with the current Aquapulse coils is that they are not shielded which you do need for faster coils running at quicker delays.
You may get away with it on the 8" coil but lack of shielding may still be a significant problem when the coil is grounded on wet beach sand.
Once you are in the water and the coil submerged then the problem is less apparent.

Some one with more technical knowledge than me might add to this. I am more of an "end" user.

Thanks for the reply. In order to use it in the water it can be good.I also have a detectorpro pulse and i'm searching for an 8 inch coil.Do you think it's better to use with it?
