Aquasearch V2`s 1st Gold

I`ve been on a steep learning curve getting to know & get the best out of my new Aquasearch over the last week. I think i`m just starting to get the hang of it but I`m sure I`m far from mastered it yet.
Even though its pretty much "off season" here & the beach is getting little use I`ve been down there practising & learning on my new Aquasearch as much as I can. I`ve found heaps of junk but its handy in gaugeing the new machines performance & learning to pinpoint as well as using the different settings.
Yesterday things started to come together with quite a few finds, although most were junk at least I`m starting to pull some deeper targets. I picked up 18 bobby pins, 3 bottle tops & a bit of other rubbish in an area of water my Excalibur cant get a signal. One scoopful revealed a watch band still covered in sand although once I sifted the scoop I could then see there was no watch attached to the band..........thought I was on a winner for a moment. But then a bit later out pops this very nice gold ring. Not sure of the depth.........its hard to gauge in the water but it took quite a few scoops to retrieve it. It has a lovely black stone that shines with 2 diamond (looking?) chips either side of it with another smaller black stone again beside them.
I was very happy with it as I was just there to practice & learn, certainly was a nice bonus.
A public thank you to Eric for all his help, assistance & advise. He also gave me a great deal.
Cheers
