ARA refiners turn-around

I have other outlets for the precious metal items I detect but was wondering if some of you who are dealing with ARA refiners in Texas could give me an idea as to how quickly the turn-around is from start to finish in steps. Are they still charging only 2% commission? Thanks for your replies in advance.
 
About 8-10 Days turn around and 2% on gold, 10% on Plat, and Palladium. Go to ara.com and check out your self.
 
Like Ron said, yes on the 2% for gold.... but by time you mail it and insure it.... where you at? If you have someone local you might do just as well.

Thanks guy's for the information. The only thing that puts me off is the 8-10 days before the cheque comes through. Only 2% commission is hard to beat though!! Thanks again!
 
Do they have a minimum amount of gold they will process? The people in my area don't give hardly anything on gold jewelry.
 
I don't know if there is a minimum amount but when I find out, I'll let everyone know.
 
Thanks. I went to their site yesterday and they gave me the impression that they only dealt with business because they wanted a tax ID number. I probably misread the site, but it seemed they didn't deal with the general public. I like the part about they will remove the stones and send them back to you or sell them or refer you to someone who will bid on it.
 
YOU can also ask for an advance as long as there is NO stone removal and get a check sent out the SAME day they recieve it for 90% and the last 8% after they refine it. You have to ask and you also have to LOCK in the price the day they get it.
 
No minimum AND they STILL pay out at 98%. My 1st x-wife sent in one gold ring and got paid fer it. Done a LOT of looking and they are the best around and they will take care of ya.
