I can only speak of the Sunray X1 probe. The probe itself is waterproof however the control box is not.

I have used mine in wet grass, but would never stick it in water as it is not sealed that I know of so water can get in a short it out. I am pretty sure it is not waterproof,, but you can check with Ralph at Sun Ray.
