Are the Sunray inline probes ANY good?

I AM getting one for free but is it even worth using? I've heard a LOT of diff. stuff!! All opinions welcome!

it worked...................but introduced a lot of noise in the machine. Sent it back in to have it checked, and it got a green light..........but STILL made the machine noisey. Ended up peddleing it. Got a propointer instead...... and never looked back. Mine may have been bad....but the maker said it was good............ probably wont ever buy another one................

They work great.........aand you get the actual reading on your meter of the coin or object your digging.

I run both. The sunray is nice for when you need the discrimination, but it's alot slower than the proppointer and provided alot more "depth" (which also can be good or bad sometimes). Have had more than a few occasions on iffy signals, where I only found pieces of nails with the propointer, went to fill in the hole and accidentally found a coin in the mix.

The sunray's are great, I agree with elton I have 1 on my F-70,and CZ-70 and my se pro,and I use a Garrett pro pointer with my Omega. HH

The sunray is the Best functioning probe out there, BUT there is a reason why it only has a 1 year warranty.

The coil/cable don't last if you detect frequently. 115 bucks a pop to repair.
