Hey There Fellow Seekers, I've heard that Troy Metal Detectors is out of business? Can anyone shed any light on this? The Shadow X5 'appears' to be an awesome metal detector! Feedback would be appreciated.

I thought tesoro made them or used to.
Troy makes good machines. I have met him and he is a good guy. I am not sure about the out of business thing but I will check it out!
Troy Galloway (part of the old Tesoro team) teamed up with the Fisher guys and make up what's know as "First Texas" now. I think the X-5 is an awesome machine especially for weighing just a little more than a pencil. 
Only way to buy them is used. And it's tough getting ahold of the coils you need too.
