Are you to tall for your explorer?

If you are like me you like the coil further away from you when you swing rather than up close to your feet. My explorer only alows me to put it out so far because the lower rod is only so long. Well, I just bought a wot coil and figured it was worth the money to get another lower rod so I wouldn't have to keep switching coils on one rod. I called David at Dixie metal detectors (site sponsor) and he told me about the "tall Man" rod for the explorer 2. I received it today and it is a world of difference for me. It is about 4 inches longer or so. I would urge anyone 6 foot or over to invest in this tall man rod. I know you won't be disappointed in it. Thanks to David also for the quality service and product.........Aaron

Thank you again and I appreciate your doing business with me. Good hunting, David @ Dixie <center><a href="http://www.dixie-metal-detectors.com"><img src="/metal/html/d-m.jpg"></center>

Wess,Go to a thrift store, buy a used back pack.MAKE SURE IT BUCKLES IN FRONT.Run any thing you get to your detector. All you do is swing your arm at the elbow.Your whole body will carry the weight of detector. It works.Hope it does for you.

might kill my knees, but it will save my back. Less bending over to dig targets <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">
Hopefully you will be falling behind even further, as I'm heading out for a great weekend hunting trip! Hope to return with many goodies!

if the tall man rod would work on the original Explorer? I know they changed some things but I am not sure about the lower rod. Thanks!

I have a young guy here that has one and like the XS II it may have a slight wobble being it will be longer than the original. We found by putting a little black electcial tape on the sides of the lower shaft will take care of it.
