Artifacts from a dead trooper Battle of Kildeer

KVM2

New member
These are artifacts found where two troopers on picket duty were killed by Sioux Warriors at the Battle of Kildeer.....The event was described in
the History of North Dakota, and the names of the two dead men were mentioned in the description od Sulley's Campaign..Can anyone tell me what the webbing thing is, what it did, or was used for??..Also, the small rusted piece. Was this off a musket....Thanks for your help and comments

the item on the right looks very similar to something I found. I am not one hundred percent sure what it is. One suggestion was and electric belt.

I am pretty sure those are the insides of an old battery of some sorts. The wires are much too fragile to have any mechanical use.

Unusual for sure. cch
