As Homer Simpson would say ....... DOH!

Filled the snowblower and the generator up yesterday. Got the snow we expected and the freezing rain made a nice layer about a 1/4 inch thick on top of the ice. Let the dogs out and the snow was right up to the back door so I had to force it open. I love a fresh snow ... looks pretty. After taking a few pictures I cranked up the snowblower and she started right up and was raring to chew the snow and spit it out. Was doing real well...made about 5 passes up and down the driveway....then it quit. Scratched my head wondering why. Restarted it and ran for a minute and quit again. Wasn't til I got it back up to the garage in the light that I figure it out.

I put regular gas in the snowblower yesterday and DOH!!! forgot it was a 2 cycle engine and forgot to add oil to the gas. I am hoping I didn't kill it. As soon as there is enough light will have to find the 2 cycle oil if I have any and dump out the gas into a container, mix the oil in and then put the gas AND oil back in and pray the snowblower still works.

Guess that's what happens when one doesn't pay attention to details. Last year I blew snow out of the neighbor's driveway...was going to do it again this year. So if you have a snowblower...check the machine....is it 2 or 4 cycle?

DOH!!!
