put the guts of an Ace 150 into a waterproof box, and give it zero bouyancy for freshwater hunting!! I have made my own, but the bugger floats past waist deep and it's like trying to wrrestle an octopus!!! It hits gold in the water better than my dedicated watermachines, I've got the gold to prove it!!

My question for Mr. Garrett would be this, Is there any chance of developing/producing/marketing an underwater detector in the line of the AT3 or AT4 again? I have read numerous posts of people fitting their Ace 250 for water hunting and they seem to be interested in a machine along those lines for shallow water hunting with out needing deep water capabilities. I personally still use and love my AT3 and AT4's and can't wait for the delivery of my "new" AT3 I bought off ebay last week. Thanks. Kip...

Thanks for the question Kipper and in regards about someone asking in Mr. Garrett visits the forums.the answer is yes and he visits often. I also will ask him all these questions every week,and he will respond to those he can answer. Keep in mind he can't answer some questions because of the secrecy needed on some things being produced or developed. But most he can and will answer.

Better yet to weight down the coil for water hunting use PVC tube filled with sand place it on lower rod close to the coil. No metal involved.

I would think you could really find some old stuff. It looks like a ruff place to MD. Many snakes?

I tried to MD a hacienda in Fl. It was built in the 1700's and some of the walls were standing in the 60's. Today there is nothing there and it is surrounded by palmetto scrubs thicket in the middle of a national forest. It was imposable for me to MD it. I couldn't even see the ground. There are lots of rattle snakes in the area and a bear came by. I found out later, it was illegal for me to MD there.
