At 10:00 AM it was 80 degrees. At 6 PM it was 111 degrees on my front porch in the shade. Guess where I spent the day.

Yeah-well the flash floods were over in East Texas at about 1:00 so I went out. My shirt, after about an hour was soaked, I had to dry my arm rest on the detector twice-a puddle of sweat was on it. The rains just made it more humid. So I went and got a GIANT Icee and came back. Tip of the day: if you're drinking an Icee while detecting and have the screwdriver in the same hand as the Icee, make sure the point is held downward while drinking the Icee.:stars:

Great tip. :) Yeah I've spent some time in Texas and been all over the state. Got friends and kin down there. Many moons ago I worked with a crew down there seining waterdogs out of the stock tanks on the big ranches, then hauling them back to Nevada and selling them to the bait wholesalers on Lake Mead and the Colorado River.

Well UW if the rains do not fill up your resevoirs down there AND when it starts to cool off say 90' then maybe you can get out to those dried up lakes and find all the loot that lays at the bottom!
See there is a "silver lining" in this miserable heat. Shame on me. I am feeling for you guys in Tx.

Here in Fl we keep going from heavy rains to 95+ with heat index of 105 or better. We had 4 inches of rain the other day in 2 hours and today it is miserably hot. The weather is screwed up all over the place. I hope it changes cause all of our weather has been coming out of the Gulf and when Aug-Oct get here guess where some of those dang hurricanes form? Then we are hearing that El Nino is setting up...not good for winter for Florida.

Keep the faith and keep cool UW

Yeah this summer weather sucks this year. Hate to see what winter will bring. Hope you guys don't get any bad hurricanes later on. Who says Global Warming ain't working. HAA. Then they're talking about the pig flu hitting with a vengeance.

I mean to tell ya' look at the Pacific Northwest! 105-110 and 90's up into Alaska! What the hey man!

Stay cool!

Yesterday we had an official tornado touch down in Eastern PA about twenty miles from where I live. That is a rarity, almost unheard of.
