AT GOLD coils

which coil would be better on the AT GOLD, 9x12 concentric or the 8.5x11 DD for depth on sand bars in fresh water and still get VDI readings that are close to the original coil (5x:geek: VDI readings
and still be easy to pinpoint

The 9" x 12" Concentric coil would be the best coil for those sand bars in freshwater locations. It get deeper targets + have a larger foot print for coverage and will still maintain the same audio ID plus VDI numbers that the other coils give. That's the only coil I use for fresh water detecting on either AT metal detectors.

John,

How is overall balance feel with that 9x12 and how is pinppointing underwater with it?

I use the 6 x 9. Much easier to move thru the water tahn the Stock coil and to 9 x 12. Pinpoints real nice too without the pinpoint button.
