This might come up twice as I tried to post it earlier but it didn't seem to go through. Here goes again. The item with the point sticking up is not a unusual find but a rare one. The other stuff is flimsy and breaks easily. Any ideas?
Found more interesting stuff too and of course some great scenery.

That flimsy stuff looks like some kind filter maybe out of a old metal gas can.
 
Now that you have brought that idea to my attention it seems a very great possibility.
