At gold iron audio problem?

I hunt with iron audio on, on the at gold all the time. I got use to it so I hardly ever turn it off. Sometimes I notice when I get a good signal it still grunts a little bit. After digging the target it may be brass, I double check the whole and there is no iron and no sound from the iron audio. This happens very frequently with all sorts of metals that are not iron. Wondering if anyone else has the same problem. Keep in mind I hunt with iron audio on all the time.

The AT Gold is a very fast machine that can read all the metals in a target. This can work to your favor when checking in All Metal mode by using a slow sweep iron will break up.

Things like aluminum actually have lower conducting alloys that can set off the IA. I noticed it one time with can slaw I was definitely getting an IA response and thought something was wrong, too. On the Garrett video "Hunting in trashy city parks Part 1" Steve Moore shows he got some IA off a pull tab and skipped over it. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for you have to decide a small amount IA do you dig or not. If it's relics I suppose you want to dig. If you are looking for gold among pull tabs, probably skip over it. Or you can always take your guess, then dig to see if you are correct.

A lot depends on where you set your iron disc. at. For relic hunting I set my iron disc. at 30 with iron audio on. Havent had any problems with false ID on the iron audio, yet. This is hunting in all metal. If you set your iron disc. much higher than 30, you can get some small lead targets to give a iron tone. Mark

Ok guys thanks for the help. I usually run in disc 1 with iron set at 38. The area I hunt is completely loaded with iron. The mixed signals sometimes pay off and sometimes don't. I usually dig them regardless. Just wanted to make sure that a little iron tone coming through sometimes is normal when I'm in a spot that there's no iron near the target.
